Desktop Default Setting #

In ABC, the desktop version is set as the default configuration, where the majority of design work takes place. It’s designed to not require specific breakpoint adjustments.

Expanded Breakpoint Options #

With version 1.7.0, ABC now supports up to 7 customizable breakpoints: Mobile Portrait, Mobile Landscape, Tablet Portrait, Tablet Landscape, Laptop, Desktop, and WideScreen. This extended range enables you to create designs tailored to an even broader spectrum of devices, enhancing the flexibility of your responsive layouts.

Customization Options #

• Breakpoint Values: The Breakpoint Settings allow you to adjust the pixel values for each breakpoint. These settings dictate the transition points for your site’s responsive design and can be fine-tuned to match your specific design needs.
• Enable/Disable Breakpoints: To streamline your workflow, you can enable only the breakpoints you need. This ensures the interface remains clean and focused on your project’s requirements.

Recommended Best Practices #

While ABC provides the flexibility to change these values, it is generally recommended to maintain the default breakpoints. The defaults are extensively tested to ensure broad compatibility and optimal display across typical device sizes. Customization is advised only when specific design needs dictate a departure from these established values.

Editor Preview Note #

Currently, WideScreen, Laptop, Tablet Landscape, and Mobile Landscape previews are not available in the editor due to WordPress API limitations. A notice will appear at the top of the editor when selecting these devices to remind you of this limitation. This functionality will be added as soon as WordPress updates its API, which we expect to happen very soon.
